Student Senate recently passed a bylaw requiring a club representative at senate meetings. They have since paused the bylaw. Are you in favor of it?

The Pandemic Pulse : 0 Covid-19 Cases This Week

The+Pandemic+Pulse+%3A+0+Covid-19+Cases+This+Week

Hello Knox,

As a reminder, Knox data comes from the Knox Together Page, and these numbers include both staff and students. Data for the State of Illinois and Knox Country comes from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).

When analyzing test positivity, I use the same language as the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Minimal: Test positivity is less than 5%

Moderate: Test positivity is in between 5% and 8%

Substantial: Test positivity is over 8%

March 28 – April 5

All students and staff should have completed their post spring break testing by now, though in actuality only 721 people have been tested. This is only 60% of students. Testing is still highly encouraged for those who have not yet been tested.

This past week 281 tests were done on campus. None of them were positive.

Galesburg (zip code 61401) also had a test positivity of less than last week, at 0.3%, which is a minimal test positivity, lower than last week.

Knox County had 9 new Covid-19 cases this last week, resulting in a 0.8% test positivity. This is also a minimal test positivity.

The State of Illinois had a test positivity rate of 2% last week. This is a minimal test positivity, though slightly higher than the week before.

There has been no update on campus Covid-19 guidelines, so continue to wear your masks and get tested if you have not yet done so.
